LeAnn Rimes’ Teeth Fell Out Mid-Performance at Recent Concert

LeAnn Rimes handled her latest onstage snafu like a pro, even though her teeth quite literally fell out of her mouth.

Rimes, 42, shared the shocking story in a post via Instagram on Sunday, June 22, following a concert in Washington.

“We’re going to do a little story time about how the show must go on,” the singer said in the clip. “And this is the most epic example of how the show must go on.”

“So last night, I was on stage in the middle of ‘One Way Ticket,’” Rimes explained. “I feel something pop in my mouth. And if you’ve been around, you know I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front. It fell out in the middle of my song last night.”

She said that she “panicked” and stated, “Hold on,” before running to the side of the stage and putting her teeth back into her mouth. Rimes decided it was best to be transparent about the situation and keep the show moving along.

“I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening, or else I would have had to walk off stage,” she said.

For the rest of the show, Rimes had to keep using her finger to push the teeth back into place while singing “every couple of lines.” She said that while she was singing the hit “Can’t Fight the Moonlight,” her teeth “completely fell out again.” But, once again, she proved to be the experienced performer that she is and kept on singing.

Rimes said that it “was the most epic experience ever” after dealing with the malfunction during her show.

“I don’t usually have firsts in my career,” she reflected. “That was a first and hopefully a last. I hope my teeth stay in tonight. We shall see.”

“The front row, get ready for something to fly out,” Rimes joked. “If you catch them, please return them.”

Rimes said that she is all about “keeping it real” with her fans, which prompted her to share the story.

“And you know, like I said, there wasn’t a f***ing thing I could do about it except either walk off or just hold my teeth in,” she remarked. “So, I just ran with it.”

Rimes said that she wanted to let other performers know that mishaps happen, but it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

“In case anybody has an issue on stage ever and feels embarrassed by it, just watch this video again and it will remind you that the show can go on in the midst of sheer, utter embarrassment,” she concluded.

In the wake of the dentistry malfunction, Rimes shared another video making light of the situation.

“This song is so fun to sing, even when your bridge (🦷) is hanging on for dear life…nothing more to lose, when you’ve already lost your teeth and dignity on stage 😂#moretolose #miley #backstagesessions,” Rimes captioned a video of herself singing a cover of Miley Cyrus’ “More to Lose” on Monday, June 23.
