George Kittle Spends $250K a Year for His Body During Football Season

George Kittle spares no expense to ensure his body is in pristine condition during the football season.

“In season anywhere from $150,000 to $200,000 per season, especially like the last three years at least,” the San Francisco 49ers tight end, 31, said of how much he spends on his health and fitness regimen while appearing on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast on Tuesday, June 24. “I mean, in total with everything I bought, add another $200K on top of that too.”

Cohosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan asked Kittle if that was nearly half a million dollars a year just to stay in shape.

“Call it $250K at the most,” Kittle clarified. “Because a lot of the things I bought, and now I don’t have to pay for them anymore.”

Kittle explained that his investments have included a Vasper System, red light therapy, stem cells, IVs and more. However, Kittle’s wellness budget has experienced some savings as he has partnered with brands that help him live a healthy life.

“That saves me a ton of money because those are expensive but worth it,” he said of a recent endorsement with a stem cell brand he utilizes. “That saves me a chunk.”

Kittle’s desire to make sure he remains fit came after he suffered from a foot injury back in 2020.

“I had that dilemma after the 2020 season because I broke my foot,” he recalled. “I got f***ed up a little bit, and I was like, ‘Damn, I really have to be on this s***.’ That’s why I dove so [heavily] into stem cells. I do a brain scan once a year.”

Kittle added that he was “happy to report” that his brain scans have come back “good.”

“I think I’m doing a pretty good job of it,” he said of staying healthy. “So am I worried about [not being in shape to keep playing football]? At some point it’s gonna affect us … but [I] just try to get ahead of it as best that I can.”

In addition to using the best technology and treatments, Kittle has also invested in his home gym, which he has opened up to other NFL players during the off-season.

“Usually we have breakfast at 8:30 to 9 and then our workouts at 9:15. We start with a lift unless C.J. Beathard wants to throw before the lift and then we just bump it a little bit,” Kittle explained of his offseason regimen, adding that the group also does “an hour and a half lift.”

Kittle added that it was a “hoot” to have “10 to 20 guys” with him at his facility, which is also known as The Barn. After getting a good workout indoors, Kittle and the guys will go outside to the field and run drills for a little over an hour. After working on their agility, the guys will run routes “two to three days a week.”

“There’s nothing worse than going into training camp and you don’t feel like you’re in shape,” Kittle said of why he puts in so much effort before the season begins.

Kittle has been with the 49ers since 2017. Ahead of the 2025 season, he signed a four-year $76.4 million contract extension with $40 million guaranteed.
