Yolanda Hadid responded to critics who didn’t like it when she posted a picture of Gigi Hadid’s 4-year-old daughter, Khai.
On Sunday, June 22, Yolanda, 61, took to social media to give a birthday shout-out to her son, Anwar Hadid, posting several photos of him through the years including a snap of him on the beach with Khai. Khai — whom Gigi, 30, shares with ex Zayn Malik — is seen wearing a red bathing suit with a popsicle floatie while Anwar, 26, helps her build a sand castle.
“To you my son, You are so much more than the eye meets…… Your beautiful soul is multi dimensional with so much love, legacy, beauty, talent, strength and courage,” Yolanda wrote via Instagram. “I am so very proud of the man that you are and I cherish our beautiful connection that is unbreakable and eternal. You will forever be the center of my world, and we your family will forever surround you and honor you with pride and celebration.”

Yolanda went on to say that Anwar is her “greatest joy” and “most precious gift.”

“I love watching you do life your way and I am so very proud to call you my son,” she continued. “Cheers to another journey around the sun my love, may your days be blessed with love, health and happiness please know that you are and always will be the best part of my story.”
While many people took to the comments section to wish Anwar a happy birthday, one user had a problem with Yolanda sharing the photo of him with Khai.
“This is really inappropriate. A child’s privacy should always be respected posting such a photo is not OK. Please think about how this might affect her in the future,” the person wrote.
Yolanda was not here for the criticism and responded to the individual, writing, “Please go and harass somebody else’s feed, you are not welcome here!!!”
Yolanda has previously opened up about how Khai has become such a “blessing” in her life.

“The extraordinary part of that is my mom passed away and Gigi got pregnant maybe two months later,” Yolanda — whose mother, Ans van den Herik, died in August 2019 — told People in March 2021. “So it shows you the cycle of life. We lost somebody so special to the family and we have a new little angel, so that’s been a great blessing, for sure.”
Gigi and Malik, 32, who dated off and on for nearly five years, welcomed Khai in September 2020 before calling it quits for good in October 2021.
“Zayn and Gigi have silently separated,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “They’d been having problems for a while and tried to figure them out, but it just wasn’t working.”
Gigi moved on with Bradley Cooper in October 2023. Malik, for his part, was linked to Selena Gomez for a brief time in 2023.
