Kristin Cavallari is so over talking about her ex-husband.
Cavallari, 38, got candid about how she feels about discussing her previous marriage to Jay Cutler during the Tuesday, June 24, episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast.
“Every single interview I do, I get asked about my ex-husband,” she said, explaining that even though she has tried to tell interviewers ahead of time that these questions are “off-limits,” they inquire about her former relationship regardless.

“And it’s like one of those situations where I feel like I can’t f***ing win because I try so hard to never talk about him. That is a deal breaker for me,” Cavallari continued. “And if I say one tiny, tiny little thing, then everyone goes, she never shuts the f*** up about her ex-husband. Oh, she’s still talking about it. It’s like, and I see that actually with a lot of other celebrities too.”

Cavallari said that although she tries to avoid talking about Cutler, 42, their marriage, which ended in divorce in 2022, is still “part of my story.”
“So if, periodically, I do say one little thing, well, because it’s part of my journey. I mean, that’s just one of those situations that is frustrating,” she added. “But anyways, all that to say is, in the interview chair, I am so sick of talking about my marriage.”
Cavallari and Cutler tied the knot in November 2013 and welcomed sons Camden and Jaxon in 2012 and 2014, respectively, followed by daughter Saylor in 2015. The former couple called it quits in April 2020 after seven years of marriage.

“With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.
Cavallari and Cutler’s divorce was finalized in 2022.
While promoting her E! docuseries, Honestly Cavallari: The Podcast Tour in early June, Cavallari exclusively told Us Weekly that she’s experienced plenty of “growth” in the five years since her split from Cutler.
“The last five years have been instrumental for me,” she said. “There were a lot of things that I went through in the last five years.”
Jay Cutler Talks Coparenting With Kristin Cavallari 5 Years After Split
“I think growing up and realizing that what I had done previously wasn’t working for me and I
needed to figure out what needed to change in order to set up the second half of my life to be really peaceful [helped],” Cavallari continued. “My whole life was never peaceful. Even in my childhood, it was always chaotic and I really value peace and stillness and quiet now, and I’ve worked really hard to get there.”
Cavallari also said that she and Cutler were doing “good” when it came to their coparenting dynamic.
“The kids come first, always,” she added.
Cutler shared a similar sentiment with Us earlier in the week, explaining, “The kids kind of do it. We’ve got our schedule, and it works for us.”
