‘Love Island USA’ Narrator Makes It Clear He Has ‘No Control’ Over the Show

Love Island USA‘s narrator Iain Stirling would like to be excluded from the narrative amid the show’s “massive controversy.”

Iain, 37, took to TikTok on Monday, June 23, to share a message with viewers ahead of Casa Amor, saying, “Lots of you are saying lots of nice things about Love Island this year. I do really appreciate it. But there’s just one little thing I would like to clear up.”

The voice actor clarified he has “absolutely no control” over what happens in the villa.

“If they asked me to say it, I will say it,” Iain noted. “So please stop messaging me and asking me. I can’t. I wish I could help you out but I can’t.”

‘Love Island USA’ Status Check: Which Couples Are Still Together?

While many of Iain’s commenters agreed that he should be left out of the drama, others were still concerned about what twists would take place during this year’s Casa Amor. The first twist was this time around the girls left while the guys stayed.

But the surprises didn’t stop there. Monday’s episode of the hit Peacock series revealed that everyone was no longer coupled up. Instead, the guys have to form new girls with the new bombshells and the same with the girls in Casa Amor and the new men they were introduced to.

Iain’s statement, meanwhile, came shortly after host Ariana Madix addressed viewers who are taking things too far when expressing their frustrations with how some of the Islanders are acting on season 7.

“I do want to say something to some of those people who are online,” Ariana, 40, said during the Saturday, June 21, episode of Aftersun. “Don’t be contacting people’s families. Don’t be doxxing people.”

The host urged people to change their behavior on social media.

Love Island’s Most Controversial Contestants and Moments Through the Years

“Don’t be going on islanders’ pages and saying rude things. You still have time to delete all of that because the islanders don’t have their phones,” Ariana noted. “So we are giving you a chance because this is a fun, amazing and beautiful show. We should be thanking each one of these islanders every single day for giving us themselves.”

Season 7 of Love Island USA generated a lot of buzz on social media. Some of the islanders’ loved ones even released statements clarifying rumors and fake theories.

Ariana recently replied to a TikTok about the overwhelming backlash certain islanders have received while filming season 7.

“I also think the people running their social media pages need to be on top of blocking, deleting, and setting limits on words etc on their pages,” she wrote. “They shouldn’t see any of that when they get their phones back.”

New episodes of Love Island USA will be released six days a week — except for Wednesdays — on Peacock.
