What to Know About Influencer Who Died Hours After Plastic Surgery

Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini reportedly went into cardiac arrest and died hours after undergoing plastic surgery.

The influencer and singer allegedly traveled with her husband, Elgar Miles, from Mozambique to Istanbul to receive a breast augmentation, liposuction and a nose job. Miles told Brazilian news outlet O Tempo that she was having the procedures done in return for promoting Tusa Hospital.

“She wanted to undergo these procedures to improve her aesthetic standards. It was a dream of hers,” Miles told the outlet, per Daily Mail.

The couple allegedly partied with the doctor in Istanbul the night before the surgery. When the pair asked about changing the date, Miles claimed that the surgeon had “scheduling issues” and kept the surgery the day after.

“We went to the clinic on Sunday just to see the place, but the doctor wanted to perform the procedure without Ana being prepared,” Miles told G1 news outlet, per Daily Mail. “The doctor assured me that there were no problems and that everything would be fine.”

The influencer underwent the procedure and Miles was sent a photo of her recovering. Hours later, he was told his wife was dead.

The doctors were allegedly detained at the hospital before being released by the Turkish police. Tusa Hospital denied malpractice in a statement obtained by Turkish outlet Turkiye Today, claiming that the staff tried to revive her.

“Despite all efforts by our expert anesthesiology team, the patient could not be resuscitated,” the statement read, noting that they were cooperating with authorities and would be determining her cause of death.

The influencer celebrated her 31st birthday in April. “Today is my day! I’m celebrating another year of life, love, learning and growth. I thank everyone who is part of my journey and who makes me every day more special. Here’s to another great year, God willing! ” ,” she wrote via Instagram at the time.

In her last Instagram post before her death, the singer shared a video of her set to one of her tracks. Miles commented, “Lets Gooo.”

The influencer tied the knot with Miles in May. The Daily Mail reported that their wedding was six years after the pair met in Rome. Miles mourned her death in an emotional Instagram post.

“When I swore before God to be with you at all times until death do us part I never thought God would take you so soon from me. The person who took care of me the most, loved me the most, trusted me the most was you. I believe in destiny but I refuse to accept that you went this way my love,” he wrote earlier this month.

He continued, “Our last few days were too beautiful to end this tragically. I will love you forever because I chose you for that. Years and years of building our empire for today I’m here in this room alone with no floor. Your family I promised to protect and love you like the queen and beautiful person you are inside and out. It doesn’t seem fair living this life without you, not really. I want to be wherever you are because none of this makes sense without you Amore Mio!”

Miles wondered how to “deal with all this pain” that he was carrying in his message, which included a series of photos of the social media star.

“I have no doubt you are in a better place and watching over all of us like you always did. You’re a sister, you’re the boss, you’re taking care of her, you’re one who educates and your only flaw was really being all this without limits,” he wrote.

He continued, “Everything hurts me! The body, the heart, the soul, the eyes from crying so much, the mouth from screaming so much because the anger doesn’t end. You became even more beautiful The guilty of this will pay even if I go to hell fighting. JUSTICE WILL BE DONE. But at the same time, I think I’m not strong enough to fight too. I ask that you look after me, my love, as you always did. It isn’t the end for us! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU ANA BARBARA BUHR BULDRINI. Till We meet again .”

While paying tribute to the his late wife, Miles also addressed brother Bruno Buhr. “@brunobuhr so sorry brother. I tried to protect and love there with all my might. ,” he wrote. “Thank you for trusting me with your sister and letting her fly free. But today I feel like I failed in this mission and I don’t know if I deserve to continue this walk without it.”
