Knots Landing actress Donna Mills doesn’t look a day over 1980 — the year she joined the beloved soap.
Mills, 84, wowed fans when she stepped out at Craig’s Restaurant on Saturday, June 21. The actress was wearing a white suite accessorized with a butterfly broach and camel heeled boots.
Mills made her debut as Abby Fairgate in the first episode of the second season of Knots Landing in 1980. She remained on the show for nine seasons, with Abby eventually becoming one of the show’s biggest trouble starters.

Both Knots Landing — and staying natural — have been recent topics on Mills’ “We’re Knot Done Yet” podcast, which she cohosts with Joan Van Ark and Michele Lee.
Dolly Parton’s Honest Quotes About Plastic Surgery Through The Years
“I have had plastic surgery, so let’s go on with what I feel about it,” Lee said on an April episode. “What I would say to anyone who’s thinking of it, they should do it early. That’s one. I would not wait till you’re over 60 because when you do it early, it’s more subtle, a little at a time, not noticeable as you’re getting older, more natural looking.”
Mills completely agreed. “Yeah, I would agree with that. Think there’s a certain point where it’s really helpful, probably in your 40s,” she explained. “Then it lasts you longer. It keeps you younger-looking longer. Don’t do it too much. If you do it too much, it’s ugly and horrible.”

She also confessed to getting a facelift done while on the show. “Back when I was in my 40s, on Knots Landing, yes, I did a lift,” Mills admitted. “And it was subtle, but it lasted, you know. And I haven’t done anything since. Nothing since then.”
Mills also said there’s a reason she hasn’t gone under the knife again as she’s aged — and it’s biological in nature. “But, you know, that’s why I say I think it’s better to do it then, and then, you know, don’t think about doing it anymore when you’re older. Also, skin isn’t as pliable when you’re older, so you can get kind of pulled looking,” she said.

The trio’s first podcast episode aired on April 1. Mills thanked fans for their support so far earlier this month, when she wrote via Instagram, “Wow! Loving all the podcast kudos we’ve gotten! So much fun talking about all that is Knots with my good friends and co-stars. Give a listen at Apple Podcasts, PodBean and Spotify Podcasts.”
Outside of reexploring her history with Knots Landing, Mills appeared on an episode of the Joshua Jackson-led show Doctor Odyssey in March.
