Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s relationship doesn’t appear to be all sunshine this summer.
In recent weeks, the “Firework” singer and The Lord of the Rings actor have made headlines as fans continue to question their relationship status.
Their love story first began in January 2016, and they dated until March 2017 before briefly calling it quits. They were officially back together by February 2018, with Bloom proposing on Valentine’s Day one year later.

In June 2025, news broke that Perry and Bloom’s relationship had hit a rough patch.
“They have been spending more and more time apart,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. “They’ve grown apart and aren’t living the same lives anymore.”
A second insider added that their inner circle is aware the couple aren’t totally on the same page at the moment. “It’s an unspoken thing that they are having issues and have for a while now,” the source revealed. “Everyone around them knows.”
At the same time, a source said friends don’t know whether they have permanently split. Instead, they know that the duo has previously broken up before but still found a way to make it work.
“Katy has been very busy working, and they are apart often,” the source added. “That has caused tension.”
When Were Katy and Orlando Last Spotted Together?
In March 2025, Perry and Bloom stepped out for a glamorous date night at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The former American Idol judge wore a silver sequin dress, while Bloom sported a classic black tux, white dress shirt and a black bow tie.
Three months later, the actor was photographed taking a stroll with his daughter in Australia. Perry was also in the city for two stops on her Lifetimes Tour at the RAC Arena.

Fans of the couple can rest easy knowing the pair were still following each other in June 2025. At the same time, both parties have kept any PDA posts to a minimum.
In November 2024, Perry shared a video with Bloom where they met then-presidential candidate Kamala Harris. As for Bloom, he shared memories from a date night with Perry in September 2024.

In February 2022, Perry shared an update on her dream wedding after delaying the ceremony because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“It’s a destination location that like, you know, we’re still trying for it to work out,” she explained on the Kyle & Jackie O radio show. “But every couple of months it’s like, ‘New variant! New variant! New variant!’”
