Beyonce Brings Out Miley Cyrus for Paris ‘II Most Wanted’ Performance

Beyoncé lit up the Paris leg of her Cowboy Carter Tour by bringing a surprise guest out on stage.

Miley Cyrus joined Beyoncé, 43, on Thursday, June 19, at Paris’ Stade de France to perform the pair’s Grammy winning duet, “II Most Wanted.” Beaming and smiling at one another as the crowd went wild, the duo matched in metallic gold ensembles, per fan footage shared via X that evening.

Beyoncé and Cyrus, 32, held hands and kissed one another’s cheeks, per a report by USA Today.

Once the pair wrapped, Beyoncé reportedly told the crowds, “Please give it up for Miley. That was amazing.”

The track, which won Beyoncé and Cyrus a Grammy award in the category of best country duo/group performance during the February ceremony, was described by Cyrus as a “dream come true” in 2024.

Speaking to W Magazine in June that year about creating the song with Beyoncé, Cyrus explained that she’d written the track about two and a half years prior to its April 2024 release as the third single from Beyoncé’s eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter. “My mom would always go, ‘I love that song so much.’ So when Beyoncé reached out to me about music, I thought of it right away because it really encompasses our relationship,” Cyrus told the outlet at the time.

Cyrus continued, “Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyoncé was a dream come true.”

Beyoncé has been joined by other familiar faces as her Cowboy Carter Tour travels around the globe. Her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, 13, and younger daughter, Rumi, 7, have also taken to the stage on several occasions. (Beyoncé shares Blue Ivy, Rumi and Rumi’s twin brother, Sir, with husband Jay-Z.)

The tour, which kicked off in Los Angeles in April, continues to attract a string of celebrity guests. Past attendees include Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Brie Larson, Gayle King, Mindy Kaling and Ariana Madix.

Earlier this month, Beyoncé suffered a wardrobe malfunction while on stage in London. She had been singing “I’m That Girl” when her pants became undone and fell to the ground, per social media footage.

In true performer style, Beyoncé refused to let the moment get the better of her, continuing on and hitting every note before slowly crouching down and enlisting the help of a back-up dancer to help her retrieve them. The smooth move drew applause from the crowd and online praise including the fan comment, “The dancers are AMAZING and professional, they all deserve to be known.”
