Justin Bieber is still standing on business — even if it’s not clocking to you why he’s doing it.
The pop star, 31, seemingly reacted to his viral rant last week becoming a meme in a series of Instagram Stories shared on Wednesday, June 18. In the first post, Bieber shared an amused selfie alongside audio from the song “Stand on Business” by Myia B Music. The clip highlighted the lyrics, “She said I stand on business / Every word I say / I said no please / I don’t play no game / She said I stand on business / Every word I say.”
Bieber further acknowledged the meme with two additional Stories featuring songs about standing on business. In the first, he looked unbothered as the song “Standing on Business” by Soulja Rilla played. The next image showed him sporting another mischievous grin to the track “Dat Business” by Fredo Bang, which includes the lines, “I been standin’ on that business and my wodies on go / The way that I was raised I ain’t never gon’ fold.”

The posts appeared to reference a recent confrontation with paparazzi that has since gone viral due to Bieber’s memorable choice of words. During a Friday, June 13, encounter with photographers in Malibu, the “Peaches” singer delivered the now-immortal lines, “You’re not getting it. It’s not clocking to you. It’s not clocking to you that I’m standing on business, is it?”
Why Justin Bieber ‘Has Felt Lost Recently’
Bieber’s declaration soon became a meme, with social media users applying his comments to images from all corners of pop culture. On X, the lines were paired with everything from Love Island USA clips and Succession screengrabs to the recent on-court scuffle between the WNBA’s Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun.
While “it’s not clocking to you” has been a major source of comic relief on the internet, a source recently told Us Weekly that Bieber is going through a difficult time at the moment.
“Justin has felt lost recently,” an insider close to the “Sorry” singer and his wife, Hailey Bieber, exclusively told Us. “His friend group around him has shifted, and he is going through a lot of changes.”
Breaking Down Justin Bieber’s Social Media Posts Concerning Fans
The Grammy winner has been trying to balance parenting his and Hailey’s 9-month-old son, Jack Blues, with recording a new album.
“Navigating fatherhood, trying to put out music [and] past traumas surfacing has been a lot for him,” the source explained.
Justin’s last full-length album, Justice, dropped in March 2021. While he’s appeared as a guest on some tracks by other artists, fans have been eagerly awaiting a new Justin single for a long time. Last month, he made a surprise appearance during a SZA concert to sing “Snooze” with her.
