Jenna Bush Hager’s kids apparently aren’t fans of her Leslie Bibb-inspired bob haircut.
Bush Hager, 43, debuted her new ‘do on the Tuesday, June 17, episode of Today With Jenna & Friends. While guest Bibb, 51, told the talk show host that she looked “sexy and powerful and glamorous,” Bush Hager revealed that her and husband Henry Chase Hager’s three children didn’t feel the same. She played a clip of their brutal reaction.
“I don’t like it,” their daughter Mila, 13, told her mom after she walked into their living room and surprised the kids with the new haircut.

“Why would you do that?” their daughter Poppy, 9, added, while son Hal, 5, simply started wailing.
After the clip ended, Bibb asked Bush Hager in shock, “Are those real tears? Your children are monsters. They started crying!”

Bush Hager pointed out that her kids were “fake crying,” which is their “love language.” However, she and Bibb agreed that her kids likely equated long hair with fairytales and princesses, so it may have been difficult to see the locks chopped off.
“Here’s the thing, guys. Fairytales don’t exist,” Bibb joked. “They are not real.”
Though Bush Hager’s children didn’t like the haircut, she revealed that her husband, 47, told her, “That’s hot.”
When Poppy told her that the haircut didn’t look good on her, Bush Hager said that Henry told her, “She don’t know fashion.”
While viewers got to see the finished look for the first time during Tuesday’s episode, those who tuned into Today on Monday, June 16, were also able to catch a glimpse of Bush Hager getting the haircut. Chris McMillan, who created the famous “Rachel” haircut worn by Jennifer Aniston on Friends, cut Bush Hager’s locks as Bibb smiled and watched on.
“You’re such a badass, you’re cool. I love this,” the White Lotus star told Bush Hager.
As she sat in the hair chair, Bush Hager revealed that one of her daughters advised against the transformation.
“My daughter was like, ‘Mom, don’t do it,’” she said. “‘You’re gonna regret it,’” she said.

Bush Hager said on Tuesday that she felt “lighter” after getting the haircut, but she was also “embarrassed” by the attention she received afterward. Bibb understood the feeling, describing it as “vulnerable.”
“I think [it’s] a way more exciting thing to be, is to lead with vulnerability,” Bibb continued. “I mean, for me as an actor I think that’s more interesting to watch when I’m watching other actors, but I think also as a person and with friends to be vulnerable, which somehow is very scary, but it’s really one of the biggest lessons I took from The White Lotus.”
She concluded, “It’s really scary to say, ‘Here’s my truth.’”
