Jax Taylor claimed he and Brittany Cartwright will officially be divorced before summer comes to an end.
Jax, 45, told viewers during his Tuesday, June 17, appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that “the plan” is for the pair’s divorce to be finalized on July 21. The Valley star also offered an update on his coparenting relationship with Brittany, 36, as they raise 4-year-old son Cruz.
“I see Cruz two to three times a week. Brittany and I, obviously, we have different schedules. We have kind of crazy schedules. It’s like, I’ll take him for a couple of days, [she’ll] take him for a couple of days,” Jax continued. “That part’s been really good, I can’t complain about that. Hopefully, it stays like that for now.”
From our partners:
Brittany filed for divorce from Jax in August 2024 after five years of marriage. His update on the status of their split comes after Brittany appeared on an episode of the “Give Them Lala” podcast last month, telling host Lala Kent that her and Jax’s divorce “will be final any day, hopefully.”
During his WWHL appearance on Tuesday, Jax also admitted to being “utterly embarrassed” by his recent ups and downs, which were chronicled on season 2 of Bravo’s The Valley.
“First of all, I want to apologize to everybody who’s watching this right now,” Jax said during his talk show appearance. “It’s just, the stuff that was shown is pretty triggering to a lot of people, and you know, I’m watching it back. I watch the episodes now … which is a first.”
Host Andy Cohen told Jax that he received messages “from people that are, just, even mad that you’re here” on the show and think he “shouldn’t be given this platform.” Jax seemed to understand viewers’ frustrations.

“Nobody should ever have to deal with the way I acted, nobody should ever have to deal with, you know, verbal abuse from anybody,” he continued. “I’m really sorry that people had to see all that.”

Jax was somewhat absent from The Valley season 2 as he entered a 30-day treatment facility during production in June 2024. However, there was a moment where Jax flew into a “full f***ing unhinged rage,” accused Brittany of cheating on him and flipped a coffee table in their house. (Us Weekly confirmed last month that Brittany has since moved on with musician Will Gittens.)
Jax also apologized directly to Brittany on WWHL.
“Very sorry to Brittany,” he added. “It was a very, very, very tough year for both of us.”
