Breaking Down ‘The Naked Gun’ Trailer
The Naked Gun trailer was released in June 2025. In it, Drebin Jr. pledges to his late father that he will carry on his legacy.
“Once you kill a man for revenge, there’s no going back,” Neeson’s character says in the trailer.
Neeson takes part in a scene where he is fighting someone and rips their arms from their body. He then proceeds to beat the person up using the dangling arms.
“A voice in your head saying over and over, ‘That was awesome,’” Drebin Jr. says.
In another moment featured in the trailer, Drebin Jr. eats a hot dog and drinks a coffee while driving, causing him to have to stop for an emergency bathroom break due to an upset stomach.
“I need a bathroom,” he says to himself before walking into a cafe and demanding those waiting in line for the bathroom to let him through.
He declares that it’s “police business” and fires off his gun to disperse the crowd waiting outside of the bathroom.

After the bathroom emergency, he is seen eating another hot dog.
“I’m going to ruin another suit,” he says as his stomach grumbles again.
Elsewhere in the trailer, Anderson’s character seductively approaches Neeson’s character to help solve a case.
“Rest assured, I won’t stop until I have found justice,” Neeson says, rounding out the trailer.
In the final scene, Neeson is dressed as a schoolgirl wearing a mask. He takes off the mask to reveal his true identity and fights off an assailant in what seems to be a nod to Tom Cruise’s character in Mission Impossible, Ethan Hunt.
