Gwen Stefani celebrated husband Blake Shelton on Father’s Day while seemingly shading the father of her children, ex Gavin Rossdale.
“Happy Father’s day Dad and @blakeshelton!! we love u so much ,” Stefani, 55, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, June 15, alongside a carousel of photos of her father, Dennis Stefani, and Shelton, 48, posing with sons, Kingston, 19, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11.
Gwen shares her children with Rossdale, 59, whom she split with in 2015 after 13 years of marriage. At the time of the divorce, they told Us Weekly in a statement that they “remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment.”

The No Doubt singer moved on with country singer Shelton shortly after her divorce, and they tied the knot in 2021. The two met on the set of The Voice while Shelton was in the midst of his own divorce from fellow country star Miranda Lambert.

“We had just met, and it was chaos,” Gwen told People in 2024. “Both of our lives were in complete turmoil, all over the ground. Nothing could save us at that point. There was a point where I was like, ‘I can’t even talk to you. This is insane. I already have enough problems. This is not happening anymore. We’re not going to text or nothing.’”
But Gwen and Shelton began writing their 2016 duet “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” together, and the romance sparked.
“Something that I wanted since I was a little girl is to be married and have this love that I saw my parents have and have babies. That dream was completely ruined; it was crushed, and I had to figure out how I was going to move forward and make a new dream,” she added, “and God putting Blake in my life was just that miracle.”
For his part, Shelton said becoming a stepdad has changed him “in every possible way.”
“I learned quickly, not because anything happened, but just, you know, reading the room, you’ve really got [to think], ‘I have to take a step back,’” Shelton recalled to Entertainment Tonight in 2024 of the transition to being a parent. “When people say it’s not about you anymore when you have a kid…I think if you’re doing it right, it’s not about you anymore. That’s true.”

Gwen and Shelton split their time between Los Angeles and Oklahoma, coparenting the boys alongside Rossdale, who admitted on the “Amy and T.J.” podcast last year that his divorce with Gwen was “debilitating” and a “very contentious, hugely emotional, flared-up situation.”
“The biggest thing would be when you see the kids that sometimes there’s a loss. It’d be nice if there was more of a connection with the person who made them with me,” the Bush frontman said, without naming the No Doubt singer directly. “I go to a lot of events where there’s ‘the other team,’ so to speak, and I just feel really proud of myself in my consistency as a father. I know in my heart that I’m super consistent.”

Before adding fuel to the fire, he told hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, “I’m handcuffed because I would never want to overly say anything negative about [my sons’] mom. That’s just not right.”
Rossdale, who has moved on with singer Xhoana X, also spoke about raising kids with Gwen on the “Not So Hollywood” podcast in 2023, admitting, “I think you can go one of two ways — you can either do everything together and really co-parent, and see how that goes — or you can just parent. And I think we just parent.”
